The Sustainable Project was a Common Module "Innovation Project" in the first semester (Fall/Winter 2021/22) of my BA studies at VIA Design & Business. The purpose of the project was to come up with a sustainable concept and design everything around it from the Business Model Canvas, Value Proposition Canvas through prototyping and more, combining a creative design thinking with business analysis. Since it was a group project, me and my group decided to work with used surgical face masks and our idea was to transform these face masks into a more sustainable product - a stuffing. We did a lot of research and contacted many companies in order to find out the potential of this concept on the market and the possibility for collaborations with other brands.
The best projects and ideas were then given the opportunity to pitch the concept with the industry represented by the two branch organizations, Danish Fashion and Textile, and the Lifestyle & Design Cluster. My group was one of the groups selected with the most innovative idea., resulting in getting a Letter of Recognition from the branch organizations.
Beside working on a business part of this project and the whole idea generation process, I have worked with the visual representation of our concept/brand in terms of its representation on digital channels. I created different templates for email marketing, designed a website with WIX and focused on the creation of the brand's business card.
